Butchey Hudson Keeps Barney in Bean Town

Butchey Hudson hosts KillBarney Tour and shows Barney a good time in Boston, MA.

The Golden Goofs, Tripawd Warrior Butchey Hudson and his MonkeyButt sister Lola, are very happy to be playing hosts to Barney for an extended stay in the Beantown area! They picked him up from Angel Lupe’s Mom and are sure to have more adventures in store for Jerry’s little purple nemesis.

Barney Heads to Bean Town

Spirit Lupe’s mom hosts the KillBarney tour in Boston, Massachusetts.

We were just starting to wonder where the KillBarney Tour will take Jerry’s little purple friend next, when we received this sweet leter from lupepod…

Greetings Spirit Jerry!

I am writing to let you know that your faithful purple friend has made it safely to Massachusetts! He couldn’t have arrived at a better time for me…it was 6 months ago last week that Lupe earned her wings and joined you and all the other tripawd warriors at the Rainbow Bridge and I have missed her so much. I knew he was coming, Hollybeans mom told me he was on his way, but I didn’t expect him today.

I had run out to the center of town to pick up movie tickets for me and friends to see a movie tonight, picked up some last minute holiday gifts (one of them is a special thank you for my brother as he was my rock through Lupe’s illness) and when I got home there was a box in the entryway (I live in a house that has 3 apartments). I saw it was for me and was from Oakland, CA. Took me a second as I don’t know anyone from Oakland, but then I realized what it was…I grabbed it and ran up the stairs giggling like a schoolgirl. Barney had arrived!

I opened the box and there he was in all of the chewed on glory. I am so excited to go through the box and see what other tripawds have added and to read all of the stories in the journals. Barney’s adventures in MA will start tomorrow, he’s going to meet Lupe’s “friend” Sugar (she’s a crazy monkeybutt Maltese) and he will definitely have a few things to see in the western part of the state. When we get back he’s off for his first visit of Boston and the surrounding areas. But he’s already made himself a part of Red Sox Nation.

I’m so excited your pawrents and the other tripawd pawrents have kept your Barney’s tour going. While Barney won’t get chewed on during his visit with me, we are going to have a great time and I know your spirit will be looking down on us wondering what he’s doing…just ask Lupe she can fill you in. 🙂

My normally gentle and reserved monkeybutt sister, Ruby, greeted Barney with considerable gusto, taking the “kill barney” tour very literally. I confess to having a paw in her overly zealous greeting (one of the many advantages of being a spirit. 🙂

Obviously I am very disappointed that I couldn’t be here in my physical form to greet Barney although if I had greeted him he may not have been in any condition to enjoy the sights of Sydney. I know Ruby will be kinder to him and show him a wonderful time.

As you can see, Barney was very moved, howling uncontrollably, after reading my story, but I have assured him that life goes on and I am never far from my pack, guiding and watching over them.

Barney Lands in New Zealand

Jerry’s little Barney has taken his farthest trip on the KillBarney Tour yet! International Barney is now visiting Sarah and Kayla in New Zealand. Check out what they’ve been up to so far and stay tuned to find out where our little purple traveler may headed next.

Barney has arrived in NZ and has been tormented already. Kayla is having heaps of fun especially playing tug of war with dad. (I think we will need that thread and needle before we send him on.)

Sarge enjoyed the treats and said thank you with a big burp!!!! He quite liked the monkey butt ears too.

We will show Barney some of the local sights well if we can get his clothes back on as you will see in the photos.

Can’t wait to get a chance to read through the journal. Thank you guys so much for sending Barney to us, the treasures in the box are amazing and I cant wait to go through it all again. Mike (my husband) is looking through it all at the moment 🙂 will have to wait till he has finished!!!!

Barney and Cadence, sitting in a tree…

Well not quite…

Followers of the KillBarney Tour know by now that two of Jerry’s Barney dolls are now circling the globe. Well, Domestic Barney has landed near Chicago again and this is what we heard from Cadence’s mom:

Immediately when the box arrived, Cadence knew it was for her somehow. She sniffed it intently. I opened it for her and immediately she started nosing through all the items.

Right off the bat, what caught her attention were the dog biscuits in the plastic baggie. She pulled that out first, started ripping apart the plastic, then snooped inside the rest of the box. She found Barney.

I had to take him out because she was enamored with the dog biscuits and the rest of the items in the box. When she found the Monkeybutt rabbit ears, she got really excited and wanted to try them on. I told her she was not a monkeybutt dog, but try telling her that. I gave in and took a picture.

Then, Little Brother came over and found Barney right away. Cadence tried to defend him at first, but let him have Barney, as the treats were just too attractive to turn her attention back on Barney. Barney got offended that a Tripawd would find treats were interesting than him and we found him chilling on our unfinished deck in the hot tub. We told him it does not work without water, but he seemed not to care. LOL!
